LÆF Digitone Sounds
As an electronic musician and sound designer I believe the Digitone is a powerful machine not only for creating musical sounds and unique effects, but also for custom percussion sounds.
I used to work with other outboard gear, but as soon as I got hands on this FM synth I started to use it as the main inspiring tool for music making and sound design. Then I decided to create a sound pack to share with other like-minded musician. By working daily on sounds, I eventually come up with 116 sound patches collected in this my first Digitone sounds release.
In the downloaded file you’ll find 2 sysex files: one containing 116 sound patches, and the other is a project with 16 patterns for the synth. You can install them singularly, but in case you install only the project file, you’d need to save the sound used for the patterns in order to have them in the sound bank of your choice.
Sound patches are divided in: 12 Bass Drums, 12 Snare Drums, 8 Hi-Hats, 6 Cymbals, 4 Rim Shots, 4 Claps, 6 Percussions, 12 Basses, 16 Pads, 14 Leads, 15 Effects, 7 Arpeggiators.
The designed sounds are suitable for any electronic music genre you might like to work on, and by further manipulate them you can create your personal sounds.
At the same time, in the project file you’ll have access to 16 patterns made with the sounds included in the sound bank. In the demo track there are just half of them.
I created different patterns styles not only to “test” the sounds in different context, but also for giving an idea about the use you could do of the sound patches.
This is my first sound pack release, I’ll be delighted to have your feedback, and also wish you to be inspired from these sounds for creating wonderful music with them.
